Qype London
I’ve visited Qype on various occasions to research a UK city trip. My favourite is the London site: it is seriously packed with user reviews of restaurants, shops, hotels, entertainment venues, events, transport, health and fitness centres, etc… The amount of information can at first seem daunting but Qype’s excellent search function, category tabs and map interface allow users to quickly zero in on what they’re looking for. That’s how I once found this awesome Hungarian eatery in Soho… and I can say this much: the food was fabulous and the atmosphere was absolutely intriguing! Excellent tip!
The Qype Does London blog hosts a wonderful collection of posts, written by so-called Qype Gurus, in which London insider tips and events are uncovered, as well as interviews with bloggers from around the world.
The Qype Community
The Qype community are a lively bunch, judging by the sheer number of reviews and posts they’ve written. I like the way Qype keeps its community involved, for instance, by frequently organising competitions, Qypers Love Events and Qype Guru Events (the next Guru Event sounds awesome: the Cuban Cigar Walk through historic London!). Readers can tap into the great local tips and insights of this vibrant community through their computers or laptops, or via their iPhones and Androids.
Qype is truly an amazing resource for travellers and locals alike. If you’re planning a visit to the United Kingdom, be sure to check out Qype UK – I’m pretty sure the local tips and insights found here will be more than rewarding.
