This photo brings back many fond memories. It was taken during the first leg (Amsterdam to Hong Kong) of my five-month round-the-world trip in 2008 as the plane flew past the coast of Estonia. I’ve called this photo “The Moment” because it symbolises the start of a life-changing journey that began in 2008 and which has led me onto a new and exciting path as a travel blogger.

Hi David,
Great observation. Yes, I was on a flight from Amsterdam to Hong Kong, west to east.
Nice! I’m so excited that I’ll be seeing all these places in Kenya first hand in just a couple of weeks.
Sherlock Holmes, here.
Because Estonia in on the southern side of the Gulf of Finland, I detect that your plane is therefore passing west to east.
Pretty good sleuthing, eh!
Love Tallinn – if you ever stop over in Estonia -
Gorgeous!
I love Estonia! First country I ever visited!
