Asia is the world’s largest continent and home to more than 60% of the world’s population. It’s a continent of incredible contrasts; from the frozen north to the expansive steppe in Central Asia and the deserts in the Middle East, and the glistening peaks of the Himalayas to the pristine beaches of Southeast Asia, and the futuristic skylines of cities like Shanghai and Tokyo to tribal villages scattered across the continent. It’ll take several lifetimes to explore this wondrous continent! I’m going back to Asia – Malaysia and Indonesia to be exact – in several weeks to visit my family and friends and I’ve been thinking a lot about this trip. When I think of Asia, I think of its amazing nature, vibrant cities, awesome food, colourful cultures and glorious beaches. Scroll down to check out photos of Asia on Velvet Escape (click on any of the images to read the corresponding post). ENJOY my impressions of Asia! I can’t wait to return! 🙂

  • Asia is such a vibrant and beautiful continent, as seen on the photos that you have shared. It’s very rich in culture and history. I also love the pristine beaches of the Southeast Asia, as well as the foods. Hope to visit more Asian countries in the future. Thank you for sharing this post. I felt like I was also taken to different places because of the photos that you’ve shared 🙂

  • Ahh Asia has been on our minds too! Trust us! The only thing is: we haven’t gone yet.
