Back to paradise!

  • SumoMe

I’m super excited about my next trip! It would be my second trip to this amazing destination in the Indian Ocean. I vividly remember my first trip there, back in 2013. On my return home, I wrote a post about my trip and called it ‘What paradise is like‘, because that’s what it was to me… paradise! I’m trembling with excitement as I write this (so please excuse any typos) because tomorrow, I’ll be going back to paradise! “Where?”, you might wonder. The place I’m referring to is Mauritius!

A speck on the map, Mauritius is a stunning island in the Indian Ocean, situated to the east of Madagascar and the African continent. Its dreamy, white sandy beaches and crystal-clear turquoise lagoons will leave anyone speechless in an instant, whilst its gorgeous hotels and resorts are the stuff of dreams! Head inland and you’ll find tropical forests, jagged peaks, verdant mountain slopes and vibrant towns with colourful markets. In the evenings on the west coast, if you weren’t already mesmerised by the island, you will be by its sunsets!

The last time I was there, I stayed at some of the most beautiful hotels in Mauritius, went on a spectacular helicopter tour and went rapelling down the Tamarin Falls!

I guess you can imagine my excitement by now!

I’m flying direct to Mauritius on Air Mauritius (from Europe, they fly direct from Paris and London) so I’m sure I’ll receive a warm Mauritian welcome the second I step on board! When I arrive there, I’ll be, amongst others, staying in a private villa at the super-luxurious Four Seasons Resort Mauritius, joining a typical Mauritian cooking class, snorkelling at Ile aux Deux Cocos Blue Bay and indulging myself in a wellness treatment… or two! I can’t wait!!! I looked up the Mauritius video filmed during my last trip there – because it’s so cool and to get myself into the Mauritian mood! Check it out below:
