velvet escape’s Culinary Journey: Punta Arenas

2009 March 21

I’m not a food critic but I do love good food! That’s one of the reasons why I enjoy travelling. Seeking out the best eateries and exploring local cuisines are all part of the adventure. One of my readers, Yoan, suggested I start a new series that covers food from around the world. Thanks Yoan!

This post marks the beginning of a new series: velvet escape’s Culinary Journey. It features a selection of culinary highlights during my travels. It also gives me the opportunity to finally put my heaps of food photos to some use :-)

img_2042What: fresh Patagonian lobster with citrus fruits and a light mint vinaigrette.

Where: Remezón (Punta Arenas, Chile).

Note: the lobster was so fresh and tasty, it was just perfect on its own. Remezón is a cosy restaurant with friendly service and specialises in Patagonian cuisine. They’re generous with the pisco sour and serve only the freshest seafood. Highly recommended!
