Matador Network’s ‘Travel Therapy’ Photo Essay
I received some great news today. A photo taken by me during one of my trips to Bali won a prize at Matador Network‘s ‘Travel Therapy’ photo essay contest! It’s the first time a photo of mine has won anything so, as you can imagine, I’m thrilled to bits! 
This is the winning photo and its caption.
“I find Bali very therapeutic. It can be very hectic & the traffic is sometimes horrendous (especially around the main tourist areas) but there’s something about the charm and grace of the Balinese, the enchanting scenery and temples, and the amazing spas (the concept was probably invented there!) that I find absolutely soothing. Sinking my feet into the cool sand of Jimbaran or Seminyak with a cold beer and a lobster platter while watching the sunset is my idea of bliss!”

Thanks Gaby! Yes, this photo was taken in Jimbaran Bay. It would’ve been awesome if the prize was a business class return ticket to Bali! Haha! No, the prize was a book. The recognition by Matador Networks means a lot more.

Thank u Yoan for your comment and suggestions. I don’t think I’m qualified to start giving picture-taking tips (I have a simple Canon camera and I take lots of pics with my phone too!!) but a ‘photo of the week’ series is a fab idea!

Oh my godddd…………….soo………BEAUTIFULL……….congratulate sir,I thought u also should put some new thread about “how to get nice pic during ur vacation” or “pic of the week”, he.he.he…bcoss i thought the pic that u took like this one, was set in some particular setting and not everyone know about that……
ok after saw this pic well………velvet quote was rite, but for me it will bcome
“experienced, be inspired and go explore LATER” (–*sigh*–when i have a chance to see that beautiful sunset)
