“The world is your classroom”

I love that tagline. It is so true, the world is indeed our classroom and the Brilliant Trips site provides ample travel inspiration and tools to facilitate our learning across the globe. The Brilliant Trips site, with its white background, brightly coloured illustrations and gorgeous photos, has a clean, cheery feel. In the right column, a simple search engine is all that is required to plan and book an entire trip (options include flights, hotels, car rental, activity planning and tours).

True to its tagline, Brilliant Trips showcases educational-themed trips such as learning a new language in foreign lands, volunteer holidays, creative courses (like learning the flamenco in Spain, painting in Florence, and photography/yoga in Costa Rica), learning to dive and wildlife adventure trips. There’s also a section for independent travel which offers travellers sufficient flexibility to plan their own itineraries at their own pace.

Brilliant Trips also offers a selection of the latest travel deals – I especially like their round-the-world and multi-stop travel deals. Another section that is absolutely noteworthy is Travel Info. This page contains a wealth of information and travel tips for the traveller such as visa requirements, security, tipping and helpful links.

If you’re looking for some travel inspiration, look no further than Brilliant Trips’ in-house blog: Brilliant Tips! This blog is a wonderful treasure trove of travel ideas and tips covering destinations around the world. The blog has the same sprightly feel as its mother site while the posts are very well-written and are accompanied by beautiful photos. The Brilliant Tips team also offer a unique service for its Twitter following: send them a query via Twitter (travel tweet) and the sender will receive a personalised response (including a customised link) in return. Very cool!

All in all, Brilliant Trips/Brilliant Tips get a big thumbs up from Velvet! :-)
