This is one the best beaches in the Asia. The meaning of the island’s name is very interesting. According to the people living here, in Malay language ‘Lang’ means ‘eagle’ and ‘Tengah’ means ‘middle’. Therefore Lang Tengah means “Eagle Resting on the Middle Island”.

    Hi Jen,
Malaysia has got lots of gorgeous islands. My faves are on the east coast of the mainland like Lang Tengah and the neighbouring Redang & Perhentian islands. The best islands are along the coast of Sabah (Malaysian Borneo). Awesome dive spots, crystal-clear water and the beaches are blindingly white! Can’t wait to visit next month! :-)

    Cheers,
    Keith

This is beautiful. Malaysia has never been known to have crystal clear beaches like this one. I guess many are wrong! Just one look at this beautiful scenery takes my breath away! I could have sworn this was Seychelles!!

Thank you Arwa and Melvin for your comments. If you’re visiting Malaysia, I can certainly recommend Lang Tengah island. It’s a true tropical paradise.

    Cheers,
