The Velvet Moments travel photo series is a collection of photographic moments that define a Velvet Escape travel experience. Launched in January 2010, the series houses many of my favourite photos taken around the world. I decided to take this series a step further by inviting some of my favourite travel bloggers to contribute a photo “that has Velvet Escape written all over it!”.

This hallowed establishment still ranks among the 5 top fine-dining restaurants in the cosmopoliton, city of Kuala Lumpur. The great Japanese French fusion of Chef Daniel has done enough innovating to span several culinary lifetimes, and, more than most things cooked up during this decade, his Hiramase King Fish with smoked Avruga Caviar Cream, and Consomme of Foie Gras with Fresh Mushroom and Pacific Oysters, both have certainly stood the test of time.
