What: Fresh prawns and scallops in a whisky and cumin sauce.
Where: Café Turri (Valparaiso, Chile).
Note: The combination of the freshest prawns and scallops with a light whisky sauce and a sprinkling of cumin seeds was absolutely divine! The Montes Alpha (my favourite Chilean vineyard) Sauvignon Blanc that accompanied this starter was sublime! Café Turri is a beautiful restaurant perched somewhat precariously on the edge of one of Valparaiso’s many hills. The restaurant’s terrace offers stunning views of the bay and the brightly coloured homes of this gorgeous city. It’s a bit touristy but the food is amazing and the views are spectacular.
