What: Iberico ham.
Where: Restaurante Modesto, Cala Sant Vicenç, Mallorca.
Note: Cala Sant Vicenç is a small hamlet in the northwest of Mallorca, with a gorgeous crystal-clear, turquoise cove and a small sandy beach. The houses hug the hillsides and offer a magnificent vista of the daunting cliff face of the Formentor peninsula.
Modesto is a lovely restaurant with friendly and enthusiastic staff. The Iberico ham was simply exquisite – the best we had on this trip to Mallorca. We also ordered a delicious bottle of organic red wine from the local Can Majoral estate.

Thanks Jen. I was quite hesitant about going there (stories of mass tourism; island completely overrun by the Brits and Germans, etc..) but I really enjoyed it. It’s a beautiful island and Palma is gorgeous.
So much buzz about Mallorca these days! I don’t even know why i haven’t considered going to this beach haven! Oh, so many places to see in this world, but so little time!!!
