Hi! I’m Keith.

Since launching the Velvet Escape site in June 2008 and the Velvet Escape blog in December 2008, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in creating travel content that reflect the experience, and utilising social media channels for marketing and networking purposes. Via Twitter, facebook and LinkedIn, I’ve built an extensive network of contacts in the travel and hospitality industry, travel writers and bloggers, editors, columnists and social media experts across the world.

Services

• Travel writing services: I provide writing services for other travel sites and blogs. These include product or site reviews, and sponsored articles about a certain destination or activity (such as tours).
• Marketing: In addition to providing appealing content, I assist with marketing activities via various social media platforms. I offer a travel-writing package that consists of creating content for clients and marketing it on Twitter, facebook and StumbleUpon. This ensures the content receives optimal exposure on these social media platforms. I can also help travel companies and organisations with their marketing efforts by maximising their exposure on Twitter via the influential Velvet Escape network.
• Advertising: Velvet Escape (VE) has a page rank of 5 and receives about 60k page views a month. Two-thirds of the VE audience reside in North America, the United Kingdom, Australia and Western Europe whilst the readership base in Asia (India, Southeast and East Asia) is expanding rapidly. About 60% of readers are female. Readership continues to grow, making VE an interesting advertising opportunity for travel-related businesses. VE offers advertising space for banners in varying sizes and locations. Please inquire for my rates.
• Networking and referrals: I have built an extensive network of contacts in the travel industry and blogger communities around the world via social media platforms. My aim is to connect people through my networks in order to create new, mutually-beneficial opportunities. I am especially interested in bringing the travel business and blogger communities closer together. I strongly believe that travel bloggers can play a significant role in the travel industry by providing quality content and social media marketing services. Velvet Escape is familiar with the work of a large number of travel bloggers and can easily connect businesses/organisations with talented bloggers who operate in a similar niche.
