Fabulous sunsets

It’s my favourite time of the day: when the sun sets and the ensuing twilight. A dazzling display of colour, then a serene interlude before the darkness sets in. Wherever I am, I always make it a point to stop for a moment if the weather is good and enjoy the sunset. They never cease to amaze me, and I often find their colours and majesty absolutely inspiring. Countless photos have been taken of this magnificent natural phenomenon around the world and I’ve taken my fair share. I’ve put together a collage of photos of some of my most memorable sunsets. This is my special tribute to another great wonder of our fair planet: beautiful sunsets.

    Hi Ross,
Thanks for your comment. I totally agree! I’ve seen so many amazing sunrises/sets around the world that it’s impossible to say what the best spots are. In any case, they’ll always be an incredible wonder to witness!

With reference to SUNrise/set it is actually NOT easy to say which place has the “best” sunrise/sunset as there are some determining factors to selecting which one(s) are the best. This involves the time, what the temperature of the day/evening is, the clouds that contribute to their beauty or lack of it, what season of the year, etc. Anyhow, a SUNrise/set is always energising giving us all Vitamin D.

Since there’s only one sun. I am allowed to choose them all, no? But the Beach of Brazilia is maybe the nr 1 for me (people playing on the beach) superpics!

Sunset is my favorite time of day as well. I enjoyed quite a few recently in Jamaica that were just stunning, as well as earlier this year in Mexico, Bahamas and Barbados. Next year, I want to see the sun set in Indonesia, Australia and Japan.

Fantastic photos – my favourite has to be the st lucia one. There is just something about the silhouette of a palm tree against a sunset!

So beautiful. Just a pity you didn’t get one from Negril Jamaica

Bali is my 2nd home 🙂
i even can still recognize that corn vendor in Jimbaran, he always sell the corn in front of the beach – sea food restaurants there…
    Indonesia is dangerously beautiful…
    Thanks for sharing 🙂

    Hi Erica,
Thanks for your comment. It’s really tough to pick one but of the pictures above, I would have to choose the ones in Jimbaran. It was simply magic!

I’d never say no to admiring a sunset. Beautiful pictures! I love the ones from Jimbaran, Bali.

Am just curious, which sunset is your favorite? Is it even possible to pick only one among so many?
